GAT's marketing activities effectively began on February 15, 1994. It is a privately owned company principally by the Barish family with the head office being located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. To date, GAT has succeeded in selling Popping Candy ingredients to companies in over 40 countries generating significant bulk sales.
As demand has increased, new and novel uses of Popping Candy have been and continue to be developed. This has resulted in GAT forming alliances with the suppliers of complementary products and enables us to offer customers the best possible alternatives to accommodate the chosen application. To date, major manufacturers have launched innovative finished products in the dairy, confectionery, ice cream, chocolate, bakery and beverage industries.
Today, GAT continues to focus exclusively on the promotion and development of Popping Candy applications. This focus and our experiences to date have equipped us with a unique understanding of current application concepts and techniques.
